The Marvelous team arrived at Crystal Palace eager to take on the challenge of a Taiko drumming team-building workshop. Under the expert guidance of Mark from Rhythmworks, the group was introduced to the fundamentals of Japanese Taiko drumming, emphasising team coordination, rhythm, and non-verbal communication.
Finding the Rhythm
At first, there was a mix of excitement and uncertainty—many participants had never picked up a drum before! But as the session progressed, the team found their groove. One participant shared:
“When you make something together as a team, that’s always really good. I think we’ll watch this again and be like, ‘Yeah, we did that!’ We actually spent a couple of hours together and perfected something. It was exhilarating!”
